In-Office Absentee Voting
Located in the Voter Registration Office at the Whitley County Courthouse, 101 W Van Buren St, Room 18, Columbia City.  Photo I.D. is required.  You do not need a reason to vote absentee in-office.
 
Hours for the 2020 Primary Election - Whitley County Courthouse
Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020 - Friday, May 29, 2020 daily from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Monday, June 1, 2020 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm LAST DAY
 
Voting Absentee by Mail or Traveling Board
If you would like to vote by mail or traveling board in the upcoming Primary Election, you will need to print one of the applications below and return to our office by Thursday, May 21, 2020 (mail) or Friday, May 29, 2020 (traveling board).  You can return the forms by mail, in-person, via fax at 260-248-3137 or email at wcclerk6@whitleygov.com. You can also request an application be sent to you by calling the Voter Registration Office at 260-248-3164. 
 
You can request to vote by mail online at www.indianavoters.com
Follow these steps:
Choose “Vote by Mail or Traveling Board” on home page
Choose “Visit My Voter Portal”
Enter your information 
On left hand side of screen, choose Absentee Voting drop down
Choose Vote by Mail
Answer questions and follow to directions to submit your application.
Please note - the only options to vote in the Primary are Democratic and Republican.  We do not have any Public Questions on the Primary ballot.
