Golf Cart Registration

The form to register a golf cart in Whitley County is located below.

The County Commissioners approved Ordinance 2012-10 on May 21, 2012, allowing golf carts on Whitley County roads. This ordinance is effective July 1, 2012. A copy of the ordinance is included with the application.
 
Please fill out the application form and print it out. Make sure to read the entire form. There is a "print" button on the last page.
 
Bring the completed form and the $50.00 registration fee to the Sheriff's Department. The fee is payable in cash (please bring correct change, we do not keep money on hand to make change), money order, or cashier's check. We will NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.
 
The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:00 pm. You must call and schedule an appointment. 260-244-6410 option 2.
 
The Sheriff's Department is located in the Jail building at 101 West Market Street, Columbia City IN 46725.
