Request For Parcel Modification

Parcels are closed polygons defined by either a meets and bounds descriptions or subdivisions. The parcels that make up Whitley County's GIS were scanned in and most of them adjusted to the county's aerial photography. Updates to the parcel layer are made when new a new parcel split occurs or when an individual brings in a legal survey as proof of location. Therefore some parcel lines do not appear to be correct in their placement. We are constantly working to improve the accuracy of our mapping system, by use of updated surveys.
