Tattoo & Body Piercing Facility Inspections

The Whitley County Health Department is required to inspect all licensed facilities for tattooing and body piercing at least four times a year. Each facility is inspected to see if it is clean, using sterile equipment, maintainin a drug and alcohol free area, obtaining proper information from customers, using protective equipment when performing work, etc. Each facility must be licensed with the Health Department and are subject to fines and penalities if they fail to meet all requirements specified in the County Ordinance.
